HCTC Aerospace Engineering students, Saginaw senior Amanda (Mandy) Hiett and Chisholm Trail senior Jonathon Freimuth, led their 40-member team in winning the U.S. Championship at the 20th annual Space Settlement Design Competition at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston, March 23-25.
All Chisholm Trail and Boswell high school choirs that competed at the 5A UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Competition on April 5 earned Sweepstakes trophies.
Congratulations to the Eagle Mountain Independent Flag team who took 2nd place at the North Texas Color Guard Competition. This is the first time the combined color guard team has advanced to national competition.
The LPE Super Owls competed at the State Destination Imagination tournament on April 7 and were awarded the top overall score in the Instant Challenge competition, which qualified the team for the Global Finals competition in Knoxville, TN, on May 23-26.
Nine Hollenstein Career and Technology Center (HCTC) students will represent the state of Texas and compete at the SkillsUSA National Contest in Louisville, Ky., June 25-29, after placing first at SkillsUSA State.
