What is Strategic Planning?
Clear your mind of existing ideas about public school and consider a fresh perspective.
How should we design our schools to best help our students achieve their greatest potential
and grow into successful adults?
This fall we will embark on a strategic planning process, Aspire 2022, that will shape
the next ten years for our district. We want to hear what you have to say every step
of the way.
How does it work?
Through a year-long process students, teachers, parents, community members, administrators,
and staff will collaborate to create a plan that will guide the district for the next ten years. The plan
will consist of:

Why do we need strategic planning?
In the past five years, EM-S ISD has added four new elementary schools, a career and technology center, and we'll open our third high school next August. It's easy to see that we are a school district
and community that is rapidly growing and changing. All successful organizations periodically stop
to analyze where they are and where they are going. Strategic planning is like a road map; it
identifies where you want to go and how you will get there.
