HCTC students earn medals at SkillsUSA state contest

Students from the HCTC competed in the SkillsUSA State Contest in Corpus Christi on April 6-10 and achieved outstanding results. A total of 70 EMS ISD students, representing all four high schools, competed in events aligned to their program of study. Of those competitors, 22 achieved Top 3 placements. In all, eight HCTC students will represent the state of Texas at the SkillsUSA National Contest on June 12-16 in Louisville, Ky.     


SkillsUSA is a national partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA is an individual membership organization serving middle school, high school and college/postsecondary students who are preparing for careers in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations.
