Law Enforcement and Forensic Science students from the
Hollenstein Career and Technology Center competed in the Texas Public Service
Association (TPSA) state contest April 6th to 8th in El Paso.
The event provided the opportunity for over 750 students from across the
state to compete in contests that centered around the public service areas of
law enforcement, forensic science, security, corrections, and court
systems. The HCTC students, from all four EMS ISD high schools,
represented the district well, with Rodney Hall (CTHS) placing 2nd
in Defensive Tactics and the team of Daniel Callahan (WHS), Brandon Vela
(CTHS), and Seth Marquez (SHS) placing 3rd in Building Search.
Congratulations to the students and teachers on their
outstanding accomplishments!
HCTC Law Enforcement teachers are Rose Brant, Roy Burns, and
Jim Gilmore. HCTC Forensic Science teacher is Kristen Jernigan.
